Presentation of the Book “Is It Easy to be a Diplomat’s wife?” held at UWED
On 2 March 2026, the conference hall of UWED hosted the presentation of the book “Is It Easy to Be a Diplomat’s Wife?” by Mrs. Salima Abdurazakova, spouse of the well-known diplomat and scholar B.A.Abdurazakov.
The event was dedicated to the anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s admission to the United Nations on 2 March 1992.
The opening remarks were delivered by the Director of the Diplomatic Academy, A.Khaydarov, who emphasized the symbolic significance of the date and highlighted the importance of preserving the historical memory of the formation of Uzbekistan’s national diplomacy.
Mrs. Salima Abdurazakova emphasized the unique importance of a spouse and family as a moral support in a diplomat's professional life while addressing the frequently overlooked but important parts of diplomatic service. The author also discussed the book's history, goals, and applicability in the modern world.
The event included an exchange of views on the role of women in society and family, as well as the human dimension of diplomatic service.
The presentation served as an important platform for reflecting on the history of national diplomacy and discussing the harmony between the diplomatic profession and family values.
