Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent condolences to the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in connection with the numerous human casualties and injuries resulting from a terrorist attack in the Kashmir region.

The head of state expressed his sincere sympathy to the families and loved ones of the victims, to the entire people of India, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

In the town of Pahalgam in the Kashmir region in northern India, unidentified assailants opened fire on tourists who were walking along a trail in the Baisaran Valley.

At least 28 people, including foreign tourists, were killed in the shooting, and around 30 others were injured.
